When you head to Murrells Inlet to play TPC Myrtle Beach you will face a multitude of unique tests. From the long par fours like the 457-yard 9th hole, to the shorter par threes like the 145-yard 3rd hole, TPC offers a wide array of challenges. The par-four 10th hole is certainly among them. It isn’t long, but players who get overaggressive could find themselves in a tough spot. The 10th hole at TPC Myrtle Beach measures only 360 yards from the blue tees (second-farthest tee). With a fairway bunker down the left side and a fairway that slopes left to right, finding the fairway here is a must. The play off the tee is down the right side of the fairway, but be mindful of a lake that comes into play about 250 yards off the tee. Longer players can get more aggressive if they want and take on the bunker down the left. If you can carry that bunker you will have about 90 yards to the green. Though many players will have no more than an 8 iron into this green, it is protected by two greenside bunkers on the left side. On the right side of the green sits a lake that comes into play from off the 9th tee. Any approach shot that hits the right-side bank will fall back into the lake, resulting in at least a bogey. This green has three different spots for possible pin locations, the easiest of the three being front left where players would have a backstop to use. The other two spots you might find the pin location would be in the middle/right side of the green; and back/left, one of the hardest placements you’ll encounter anywhere on the course. Once you’ve successfully hit this green, you’ll be more than happy if you leave it after a two-putt.
