Warm, sunny skies welcomed visitors to the Hammock Coast Golf Trail who were in full swing in early February for the 2025 Brittain Resorts Classic hosted at HCGT courses Blackmoor and True Blue, as well as four additional area designs.
Tournament entries were comprised of two-person teams, with two flights of competitors playing on four sets of tees (Men’s, Women’s, Senior Men’s, Super Senior Men’s). The Brittain Resorts Classic was contested at Blackmoor and True Blue for first-round action (best ball), as combined Texas scramble and scramble rounds followed the next two days at four other Grand Strand courses.
Players from 26 states arrived from such faraway states as Colorado, Wisconsin and Illinois. Aside from entries from the Carolinas, four additional states were represented by 11 or more players – including Maryland (16), Virginia (15), Pennsylvania (13), and New York (11). Players were greeted with pleasant playing conditions all week, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s and reaching the 70s for Monday’s Blackmoor and True Blue rounds.
Each entry included three rounds of tournament golf, a tournament gift apparel item, $50 gift card to Sea Captain’s House restaurant, a Sunday welcome lunch and awards lunch following the final round. Prizes were awarded to the top finishers in each flight, with daily contest prizes in each flight and random drawing prizes also up for grabs.
