Post-Round Hangouts Along the Trail

After exchanging handshakes and walking off the 18th green, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as recounting the day’s best shots over a hot meal and a cold drink or two.
We understand that a round of golf is equally as important as the 19th Hole that follows. That being said, here are some of our favorite golfer hangouts along the Hammock Coast Golf Trail.
Known for their great food and impeccable service, you really can’t go wrong with a meal at Quigley’s Pint & Plate. The menu itself features Lowcountry classics like fried chicken, shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles. Quigley’s also serves up a variety of beers brewed in-house. Be sure to try a pint of their Swamp Fox IPA or the Neck Red Ale, named after the Waccamaw Neck.
Island Bar and Grill is another highly recommended golfer hangout. This full-service restaurant and bar has been voted one of the top 10 restaurants in the Pawleys Island area. It’s an ideal spot to watch a game on any of the bar’s 30 televisions or to listen to some relaxing live music on the outdoor patio.
Dead Dog Saloon, located on the scenic Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, has been featured on both the Travel Channel and Southern Living Magazine thanks to its delectable seafood dishes and tasty drinks. The restaurant also hosts a wide variety of live music and has three different bars, making it an exciting place when the sun goes down. Take a look at their entertainment calendar for a full list of upcoming shows and events.
