The 18th Hole at Caledonia epitomized it: a par four with nothing but the old rice fields to the right that contribute to one of the most picturesque and stunning finishing holes and Lowcountry settings you’ll find anywhere.

Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club has some of the most striking Lowcountry visuals you’ll find along the Trail. When you get to the par three 13th Hole, you will see a peninsula green surrounded by saltwater marsh with long, wispy grass; catch the scent of the saltwater air coming off the ocean nearby; and feel like you’re at a nature preserve with all the surrounding wildlife, from the birds to the occasional alligator.
