Golfweek recently ranked three of the area’s courses, which are part of the Hammock Coast Golf Trail, among the best public-access courses in the state.

A full field of 390 golfers from 30 states, Canada and Mexico descended upon the Grand Strand in March in their quest for more than $10,000 in prizes as they competed in the 2024 TRUE Linkswear World Am Q School 

As the winner of The Q at Myrtle Beach earned a coveted spot in the PGA TOUR’s Grand Strand debut at the Myrtle Beach Classic, this one-of-a-kind qualifying competition produced indelible memories recorded not only in video, but by the world-class photography of Jeremy Freeman.

The Lowcountry’s vibrant spring colors were in full bloom this spring up and down the Hammock Coast Golf Trail! Member designs Caledonia, Litchfield Country Club, Tradition Club and Willbrook have all been looking especially resplendent this season, and we’ve got the photos to show them off!

A.C. Flora (S.C.) finished its charge to back-to-back titles in April, with all scoring golfers shooting at or under par in final-round play at True Blue to capture the 2024 Keiser University College of Golf Palmetto Championship at Tradition Golf Club, True Blue Golf Club and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.

Ethan Paschal (Fayetteville, N.C.) birdied the first playoff hole to cap a stunning rally while Vanessa Borovilos (Toronto, Canada) cruised en route to victory at the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship Presented by LA Golf at Hammock Coast Golf Trail standout design TPC Myrtle Beach.

Ryan Wilkinson, PGA Professional at Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club, shot a 2-under par 70 at Wachesaw Plantation East to win an 18-hole shootout and earn a spot in “The Q at Myrtle Beach.”

Men’s and women’s golf teams from Florida to California have descended on Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and True Blue Golf Club, two of America’s top 100 resort courses, to test themselves in the Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate.
